摘要

In modern surveillance systems, to provide effective and continuous monitoring mobile sensors are introduced to overcome the limitations of static sensors while bringing new aspects of challenges. This paper investigates the mobility models for multiple mobile sensor's motion strategy. After discussing several state-of-the-art approaches in the literature, we propose a novel self-organizing method, called an anti-flocking (AF) mobility model. This model mimics the social behaviours of solitary animals. Extensive experiments based on a multi-agent simulation system with differing numbers of mobile sensors have been conducted. The comparison results show that the anti-flocking model achieves significant performance improvement and also demonstrates the favorable features of scalability, robustness, and adaptability.
