Moldflow-ANSYS interface brings realistic structural analysis

THE highlight of release 5.1 of Mold-flow's Plastics Insight(MPI)is an interface to ANSYS structural analysis software.With the new ANSYS interface,users can export thermo-mechanical properties,fibre orientation and either process-induced residual stress or volumetric shrinkage data from MPI 5.1 to ANSYS software for more in-depth structural analysis.The use of Mold-flow data ensures that the structural analysis model has the material properties that would exist in the part as a result of the injection moulding process.
