摘要

Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) is a serious and aggressive disease with a significant impact on children's quality of life, accounting for high health care costs. The disease is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and the majority of affected children are the first-born, vaginally delivered infants of teenage or young mothers, a clinical triad that is recognized as a risk factor for the disease.
