Growth Performance and Serum Biochemical Parameters as Affected by Nano Zinc Supplementation in Layer Chiclks

Three hundred numbers of BV- 300 day old chicks were distributed randomly in five dietary treatments. T_1: Basal diet + Mineral mixture without any Zn supplementation, T_2: T_1+ inorganic zinc (ZnO) supplementation as per requirement, T_3: T,+ nanoZnO@ 1/100* ofZn content in basal diet, T_4: T,+ nanoZnO @ 1/500th ofZn content in basal diet, T_5: Tj+ nanoZnO @ 1/1000* of Zn content in basal diet. Supplementation of nano zinc particularly @ 1/500* level of basal dose in layer chicks diet improved (P<0.05) growth rate. There was increase in levels of serum glucose and alkaline phosphatase and a decrease in alanine amino transferase at this level of nano Zn supplementation.
