Honda recalls 489,000 CR-Vs, 600,000 Accords

The Japanese tyre giant, Honda Motor Co. announced in October that it was recalling about 489,000 CR-V sport utility vehicles in Europe and the US, after discovering that rain water could enter the vehicles' power window switch on the driver's door, which could ultimately cause the switch to overheat and catch fire. This could impact the vehicles from model years 2002 through 2006. About 220,000 CR-Vs will be recalled in Europe, 268,000 in the US and less than 100 in Africa.
