Studies on non-genetic factors influencing the birth weight in Malvi cows

摘要

Production potentials of dairy animals at all early age can be determined by studies on birth weight. It has been expected that animals having higher body weight at birth would be growing faster and exhibit early expression of traits of reproductiveimportance. Thus, the study of this trait will facilitate culling of inferior cows at an early age, preventing huge expenditure for rearing of uneconomical calves at the dairy farm.
