HAEMATOLOGICAL AND THERAPEUTICS ASPECT OF NOTOEDRUS CATI VAR CUNICULI IN RABBITS

With increase in rabbit farming in country, various problems with regard to their health have also drawn attention of scientific community. Among these, skin infection by Notoedrus cati var cuniculi is most commonly observed. Mites are commonly observed with start of infection on nose or eyelids and gradually spreading over on nose, eyelids, ears, forelimbs and hind limbs or generalized. Treatments have been tried with various drugs showing variable results and Doramectin (Dectomax Pfizer~(R)) is one of the latest, which has been found to be effective in avermectin group.
