A study of different body measurements of malvi cows

Very little information is available regarding the morphological measurements of Malvi cattle of Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, various body measurements and their relationship in Malvi cows were undertaken in the study. For the morphometric study, different body measurements of 101 purebred adult Malvi cows were taken from Govt. Cattle Breeding Farm, Agar, Distt. Shajapur of Madhya Pradesh. The measurements of cows were recorded in standing position on horizontal plane, by a measuring tape in centimeters. A total of 8 body measurements were recorded, which included body length, height at withers, chest girth, paunch girth, length of tail, length of ear, length efface and length of horn.
