A 49-year-old premenopausal Greek woman presented in 1996 with a left breast mass, with no known risk factors for breast cancer. She underwent modified radical mastectomy and axillary dissection for a 12 mm grade 2 infiltrating ductal carcinoma (IDC), without lymph-node involvement. Oestrogen receptor (ER) was negative and progesterone receptor (PR) was positive. She received adjuvant chemotherapy with adriamycin and cyclophos-phamide, but no hormonal therapy.
