摘要

U.S. dairy industry groups last week publicly called on Canada and Japan to improve their market access offers on dairy in the Trans - Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations, and said that failure to do so should lead to them being excluded from the TPP negotiations. The U.S. dairy sector has been "patient and flexible with our Japanese and Canadian friends, but we are running out of both patience and time," U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) President Tom Suber said in a Feb. 27 news release with the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF). "We strongly believe there is an achievable deal to which both countries can agree, but that deal must include substantial market access for our products. It cannot be any other way."
