摘要

A novel two-dimensional bimetallic complex [Zn(HPBIM)_2(H_2O)_2Mo_6O_(20)] (1) (HPBIM,2-(3-pyridyl)-benzimidazolium) based on Mo_3O_(10)~(2-) infinite chain has been hydrothermally synthesized.X-ray structure analysis has revealed that the title complex is constructed from a 2D bimetallic oxide network {Zn(H_2O)_2Mo_6O_(20)}_n~(2n-) with the protonated 2-(3-pyridyl)benzimidazole groups projecting into the interlamellar region.The linking mode of molybdenum oxide chain and {ZnN_2O_4} octahedron leads to the formation of paddle-wheel shaped holes in the 2D layer.
