PURPOSE: A catalyst for synthesis of methanol from syngas and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase efficiency of carbon conversion and methanol refining efficiency according increase of methanol yield.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a catalyst for synthesis of methanol from syngas includes a step for manufacturing a support for synthesis of the methanol with a sol - gel method from cerium - zirconium oxide, and a step for filtering, washing and sintering precipitates after dipping the support in liquid after adding a metal compound and a basic precipitation agent on a suspended aqueous solution. A manufacturing method of the support includes the following steps: adding a cerium precursor and a zirconium precursor in water; manufacturing sol by heating mixed liquid; and sintering the manufactured sol for 3 ~ 5 hours.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
