Ian Morris is a degree engineer with a lifetime's experience in industry. He is presently a director of the BFPA and is so concerned about the continued re-ending of hydraulic hoses that he had to speak out. He understands only too well that whilst commercial considerations encourage the re-ending of hydraulic hoses, it is in effect an illegal practice in Europe and the wider world and is contrary to BS EN 982 'Safety of Machinery - Safety requirements for fluid power systems and components - Hydraulics' here in the UK as well.
