Powder coating technology is in its fifth decade of commercial existence. The coatings panacea of the '70s and '80s has only scratched the surface of the OEM automotive coatings world. Why has there not been a more widespread use of this environmentally friendly technology? It's true that powder has made huge inroads into the automotive components market.
