Pakistan to Become Tea Producer!

When I was invited to in-teract with a tea delegation from Pakistan last month, I went there hoping to meet some importers, but as it happened, it was a delegation of Government officials engaged in developing tea plantations in that country. The delegates had come part of the Commonwealth-sponsored programme and it was for the first time that such a delegation had visited India. Coming as it did close to the visit of the President Gen Musharraf, the delegation told me that its efforts would have Government patronage.
