Neem Kernel Aqueous Extracts for Controlling Major Foliar Diseases of Tea (Camellia Sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) in N.E. India

Neem kernel aqueous extracts (NKAE), tried for controlling different diseases of tea, was found fairly promising. NKAE could reduce black rot and red rust diseases to the extent of 47.8 to 56.12 and 45.9 to 60.6% respectively at different concentrations under field investigations. On the basis of the results obtained from our investigations the use of NKAE as alternatives seems to have immense scope in reducing the load of toxic chemical pesticides which will ultimately lead to a pollution free environment in our surroundings.
