Variability, heritability and genetic advance in F_1 generation of a diallel cross in Okra

摘要

In a 8 x 8 parental diallel set involving 8 parents and 28 F_1 hybrids of okra, genotypic coefficient of variation, heritability estimates and expected genetic advance were fonnd to be high for marketable yield, total yield, number of fruits per plant and plant height indicating scope for selection and breeding for its improvement.
