摘要

Thirty genotypes of garden pea were studied for genotypic and phenotypic correlations and path-coefficient analysis. Pod yield per plant had a strong and positive correlation with seed yield per plant, number of pods per plant and length of pod. Path-coefficient analysis at genotypic level revealed that days to 50% flowering, number of pods per plant, length of pod and plant height had a high positive direct effect on pod yield. Therefore, a selection index comprising of the characters like days to 50% flowering, number of pods per plant, length of pod, plant height and seed yield per plant can-be considered highly dependable and reliable characters for selection to improve green pod yield in garden pea.
