Before Lexus began its adventure with, hybrids and, rather more quixotically, the LF-A supercar, it enjoyed a dabble in the rarified pool of high-end convertibles. A cream-smooth V8, rear-wheel drive and easy access to a state of balmy rooflessness sounded promising, as did a drop-top built by a company with some of the highest owner satisfaction scores on the planet, thanks to a quality fetish matched only by aristocratic watch makers and obsessive cathedral builders.
