We'd love our Mini JCW more if it were less prone to understeer. ONE OF THE THINGS I loved most about the first-generation BMW Mini was the way it handled. Pointy and kart-like, it could be hurled into a corner at seemingly any speed and you could be confident that its nose would make a beeline for the apex, while its tail would start to edge out to encourage it through the corner, yet never in a scary way.
