These are dismal times in Formula 1, with Sauber having announced a line-up of two pay drivers for 2015, Marcus Ericsson being joined by Felipe Nasr. Neither driver is bad, but both have secured their drives with large sums of money from sponsors. At the same time, Caterham is trying to relaunch using the idea of crowd funding. This is going to be a struggle as the team needs to raise £2.35 million by 14 November. That will get the team to Abu Dhabi and presumably cover the £350,000 entry fee for 2015.
