First front-drive BMW close to launch: New 2-series Active Tourer marks the beginning of a 'new chapter' for BMW; on sale in UK in summer

BMW's first-ever production front-wheel-drive model has been spied undisguised ahead of its Geneva motor show debut in the spring. The five-seat 2-series Active Tourer breaks new ground for BMW as the first of 11 planned front-wheel-drive models from the traditionally rear-drive brand, using a platform shared with the new Mini. Four-wheel drive will be optional.
