Apparently owning a car is so last century. Increasingly, many of us want to 'drive, not buy'. That way you can get the latest thing, or perhaps the most appropriate car as circumstances change. Leasing and contract hire have been around for ages. Once upon a time, the F&I man (that's Finance and Insurance) was a rather serious accountant type in the showroom who would explain to mainly business customers how they couldn't possibly afford not to not own their company cars.
