IT SEEMS LIKE only yesterday that Audi introduced its swoopy sixth-generation A6, bringing with it an increase in dimensions and a healthy dose of style. But the car has, in fact, been with us for three years, and that's time enough for Audi to introduce a facelifted model in a bid to stay in touch with its class rivals. The mid-life changes made to the A6 are numerous but subtle, no doubt aimed at protecting retained values of the outgoing model. Look carefully and you'll notice a new front bumper with a grille that does away with the licence plate bar and gains redesigned air ducts for improved engine bay cooling. There are also new headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, reworked exterior mirror housings with integrated repeater lamps and added chrome along the shoulder line.
