Environment, Health and Safety Issues in Iron Foundries Using Induction Furnace

摘要

Production of molten metal is one of the major activities in any foundry. However, this should be done with utmost care so that there is no adverse impact on environment and also health and safety of the personnel is not jeopardised. Focus of this technical paper is iron foundry using coreless induction furnace as melting unit. The EHS (Environment Health and Safety) issues during a campaign of furnace i.e. from lining making to lining breaking are highlighted and precaution/countermeasures suggested.
