The purpose of the present paper is to study the stability of equilibrium position of the motion of a system of two artificial satellites connected by a light, flexible, inextensible and non-conducting cable under the influence of earth's magnetic field, solar radiation pressure, shadow of the earth and earth's oblateness. We discuss the case of a circular orbit of centre of mass of the system. In non-linear oscillations of the system, one equilibrium position exists when all the perturbations mentioned above act on the system simultaneously. We apply Liapunov's theorem to test the stability of the equilibrium position. We find that the equilibrium position is unstable.]
