New Indian mustard variety for Himachal Pradesh

RCC 4 Indian mustard gave 27,13% more yield than Varuna when tested under different agroclimatic zones of Himachal Pradesh at various research stations of Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya. The variety also showed an average increase of 20.14% in seed yield at farmers' field. Well-drained sandyloam or loam soils are suitable for growing the variety and mid-October is the optimum sowing time.
