Nutritional status viz a viz mineral deficiencies of buffaloes in Haryana State.

摘要

The feeding practices and different types of feeds used by farmers raising buffaloes under different farming systems in Haryana, India, are presented based on surveys. It was also shown that most of the buffaloes in the state suffer from mineral deficiencies (calcium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese and copper). The use of mineral supplements to resolve the deficiency, anoestrus and improve milk production are also discussed.
