'Probiotics Enriched' Dairy Foods — An Innovative Approach for Healthy Living

Today people are more concerned about health and well being. Diseases related to obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular and cancer are increasing all over the world. The term 'Probiotics' is derived from a Greek word meaning "for life". Probiotics dairy products with value added nutrition that increase health benefits are becoming the first choice of consumers. Several probiotics-enriched dairy formulations have been developed during the past decade to meet these challenges as they are important to the food industry and consumer market (Fig below).
