摘要

Apparent molal volumes, apparent molal adiabatic compressibilities and viscosities of phenol, sodium salicylate and sodium benzoate in water have been determined at 288.15.298.15,308.15 and 318.15 K from density. speed of sound and efflux time measurements. These data have been utilized to determine partial molal volumes ( V2° ) and partial molal adiabatic compressibilities (KS.2°) at infinite dilution which have been fitted to suitable polynomials to estimate first and second derivatives with respect to temperature. Viscosity B-coefficients for the various compounds have been estimated using Jones-Dole equation. The activation energy for viscous flow has also been estimated. These parameters have been discussed in terms of solute-solvent and solute-solute interactions.
