Expression of co-stimulators CD28/B7-1 in peripheral blood of patients with breast cancer

Breast cancer is one of the malignant tumors, which bring serious harm to women. Its occurrence and development is due to many complicated factors. In China, the incidence of female breast cancer had increased by 38.5 % from 2000 to 2005. There are still many patients with tumor recurrence or poor prognosis, despite the combined treatment of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Gene expression is increasingly used as a new tool to predict breast cancer prognosis; however, the traditional prognostic factors are still the most important markers for long-term survival in breast cancer. There may still be lack of a minimally invasive method to evaluate the status of breast cancer so far.
