摘要

A field experiment was conducted at Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore for characterization of sunflower hybrid KBSH-53 and its parental lines based on seed, seedling and plant morphological characters.Both the parental lines and F_1 hybrid showed variation in the seed characters viz., seed colour, seed shape; Seedling characters viz., hypocotyl anthocyanin colouration and plant characters viz., leaf colour, height of the tip of the blade compared to insertion of petiole, stem hairiness at the top, pigmentation on the petiole, branching, ray flower shape, head attitude and shape of grain side.
