摘要

The present experiment was conducted to study the correlation and direct and indirect effects of component characters on seed yield in F_3 generation of 21 inter-varietal crosses of fieldpea. Seed yield exhibited positive and significant correlation with days to 50% flowering, plant height, number of pods per plant, days to maturity and 100-seed weight. Number of pods per plant recorded highest direct effect on seed yield and positive indirect effect through plant height, suggesting the true and perfect association between these characters, and the selection of genotypes based on these characters directly will help in isolating promising segregants from F_3 generation.
