Fine structure ofOedogoniomyceszoospores, with comparative observations onMonoblepharellazoospores

A comparison ofOedogoniomycesandMonoblepharellazoospores using electron microscopy shows that they are very similar in structure. Both have rumposomes, a striated disk, and an accessory kinetosome which had previously been thought absent inMonoblepharella. A number of other structural details are described and possible taxonomic implications are discussed.
