Using EMS to prove the beef industry's credentials

In a bid to satisfy consumers that their products are living up to the "clean and green" image beef producers are continually looking for ways to prove that the beef they turn out is done so in an environmentally sensitive way. Environmental Management Systems (EMS) is a system that farmers could use in the future to verify that their production systems are not compromising animals or the environment. This management tool is described as a structured and systematic approach to responsibly manage andreduce the impact of agricultural activities on the environment through a constant routine of reviewing, planning and implementing practices.
