PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prove the publication of the contents of an electronic publicized object without separately preparing a publication by a paper medium and to enable the user of the contents to easily and surely recognize the fact of alteration in the case that the contents are altered. SOLUTION: This publication proving system is provided with a publication proving server 10 having a recovery means 13 for recovering the contents of the electronic publicized object, a signature means 15 for performing ciphering by a secret key to the contents of the electronic publicized object recovered by the recovery means 13 and imparting an electronic signature and a transmission means 11 for transmitting the contents of the electronic publicized object to which the electronic signature is imparted by the signature means 15 to an applicant and a public key management server 20 for keeping/managing the public key of the publication proving server 10 corresponding to the secret key so as to be read and browsed.
