摘要

NOT A human hand touches a bottle of Jacobs Creek wine in the long haul from its production in South Australia's Barossa Valley to distribution overseas -- that is, until a person stacks it on a shelf in Sainsburys, London. That, says Perry Gunner, wine industry chief and marketing expert, is something the labour-intensive wool industry needs to think about if it wants to improve its prospects. Gunner, chairman of the Orlando Wyndham Group, has recently been appointed chairman of the South Australian Government's Wool Industry Devel-opment Board (WIDB), established in January.
