Fantasea Cruises has created a new image in the Whitsundays with the arrival of two new vessels for their fleet. Builder Woody Marine was chosen to build the new 12.5-metre Naiad vessel chosen to be a tender to Fantasea's recently refurbished 60 metrecatamaran cruise ship 'Ammari' (see review Ausmarine March, 2007). The 'Ammari' underwent a very extensive refurbishment in Brisbane to meet their 5-star service standards and this led to the need to provide a high quality transfer service from this vessel to Hamilton Island and to double as a day boat to take guests out to the floating pontoons for the reef experience.
