Apilot program is using a combination of Sterile Insect technology (SIT) and community engagement to reduce and eradicate Mediterranean fruit fly (Medfly) from Carnarvon, WA.The Department of Agriculture and Food, WA, is piloting new techniques to control and eradicate the significant horticultural pest from Carnarvon, an isolated horticultural precinct 1000km north of Perth.
