摘要

DR JOHN GLADSTONES has had a long and distinguished academic and research career in Western Australia and, although formally retired, at 79 he is still going strong. His seminal work Viticulture and the Environment (1992) was awarded a 'Special Distinction in Viticulture' by the Office International de la Vigne and du Vin. His latest book Wine, Terroir and Climate Change continues the tradition. In this book, Dr Gladstones tackles the rather vague concept of terroir with scientific precision.
