Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd expects to see underperformance at its Challenger gold mine for another six months as it strives to arrest the asset's slump.Kingsgate managing director, Gavin Thomas, told Paydirt the company was working hard to turn the South Australian operation around and was a long way from considering divesting the project."Challenger's performance has been less than satisfactory in the last six months," Thomas said after his Diggers & Dealers presentation. "The main problems have stemmed from the fact we have lost some key people in the last nine months. But we believe we can turn it around."
