The global issues of air pollution and fossil fuel shortages have created the demand for eco-friendly vehicles. The need to be socially responsible and to preserve the environment has driven Hyundai/Kia to successfully develop the first-Liquefied Petroleum Injection (LPI) hybrid electric vehicle. The Hyundai/Kia hybrid will also be the first hybrid to use advanced Lithium-Ion Polymer batteries.
