In the midst of one of the worst periods in automobile sales in decades, one positive market trend is emerging: automotive OEMs are beginning to re-shape the way they listen and communicate with their customers. Vehicle manufacturers representing over 80% of the new cars sold in North America have invested in connected vehicles via wireless communications as a way to generate new revenue streams and pull diagnostic data in real time. Now, OEMs must leverage their investments by using the connected vehicle to meet the demands of the changed vehicle consumer.
