P.T.Matahari Putra Prima,the largest general merchandiser in Indonesia,plans to open another eight stores so as to cope with foreign invested merchandisers such as Carrefour and Dairy Farm.Matahari officials said that more than 50% of department stores,convenience stores and supermarkets will operate large-scale supermarkets within five years."The advancement into supermarkets will bring about a 30% increase in sales." said the officials.
