Royal breeding:Mutch Farms bred the champion Simmental bull at 'the Royals' in November

Stephen and Jennie Mutch of Kingston, Prince Edward Island, have proven you do not need to be big-time cattle breeders to breed top animals. They bred MFS Junior 3A, which garnered a lot of attention at the shows in 2014. The bull, owned at the time by Randy Sanderson of Spud Island Farms in York Point, was named supreme champion bull at Expo Boeuf in Victoriaville, Quebec, in October and was selected as grand champion Simmental bull at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto in November. It was also reserve junior champion bull at Agribition in Regina later in November.
