Committed to his land: N.S.'s Eastern Region Woodlot Owner of the Year

The roads on Eldon Taylor's woodlot are better than many listed dirt roads, and you can drive your car with ease through the manicured, well-maintained stands in West Side Lochaber, Antigonish County. On Sept. 23, 2006, Taylor was awarded the honor of Nova Scotia's 2006 Eastern regional winner for Woodlot Owner of the Year - a title he also won in 2000. His commitmentto the landis visible, andmuch effort has gone into forest management over the years.
