Feeder cattle sale history was made on Oct. 21, when the Sussex & Studholm Agricultural Society (S&S) successfully carried out the first online auction of age-verified and pre-vaccinated feeder calves. The sale consisted of 413 head of feeder calves from producers across New Brunswick. Although live online purebred cattle auctions have become fairly common, the technology had not extended to commercial feeder calf sales until this sale at S&S.
