NATA announced during the first week of November that Jim Thornton, MS, ATC, PES, would be its next president. Thornton, the head athletic trainer and Director of Athletic Training Services at Clarion University, will take over as NATA President when the current term ends for Marje Albohm, MS, ATC, in June at the 63rd NATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposia in St. Louis, Mo. Thornton began his service on the District Secretary/ Treasurers Committee in 1998 and eventually became the District Two Director in 2005. He served on the Board of Directors for six years.
