MMF Makers Look at Yarn Exports

The Indonesian polyester filament industry has been rapidly increasing exports of yarn since 2001.As a result of decreasing domestic consumption,the industry has no choice but to export.According to a survey conducted by a company,Indonesia produced 35,150 tons of polyester filament yarn a month in 2000.The monthly output continued to decrease since 2000,but showed a recovery in 2002.However,production started to decrease again,and is expected to be 32,600 tons this year.
