Acetabular fracture is extremely uncommon in the general population, with an incidence of three in 100,000 people per year, which represents 2% of all fractures.1 This injury usually results from a high-energy trauma situation, e.g., a motor vehicle accident that forces the femoral head into the posterior wall of the acetabulum. Treatment of acetabular fracture varies, depending on the extent of the injury.
